What is Trailblazers?
For competitors
Trailblazers offers cost-effective, professionally run show jumping, dressage and showing competitions with the opportunity to qualify for championship finals via first and second rounds. Trailblazers competitions take place at approved equestrian centres through the UK.
Membership of Trailblazers is free. Simply fill in a membership form available online or at any approved centre.
For equestrian centres
Trailblazers provides a nationally recognised competition series sponsored by SEIB designed to encourage more competitors to use centres' facilities. All independently-run show and equestrian centres are invited to apply for Trailblazers approval.
Trailblazers was founded ten years ago by an alliance of equestrian centre proprietors whose idea it was to organise a series of properly-structured, easily accessible competitions for competitors of all ages and experiences.
Each season, an estimated 200,000 competitors compete in Trailblazers show jumping, dressage and showing competitions. There are no horse or rider registration fees to pay – just entry fees. The only additional charge to competitors is £12 should they qualify for and decide to progress to a second round.
Approved equestrian centres can run as many Trailblazers first rounds as they wish, plus one second round in each discipline class, yet there are no fees or levies payable to a central body. More than 60 approved Trailblazers equestrian centres can be found across the UK.
The SPILLERS® Trailblazers Championship finals take place at Stoneleigh Park each summer. More than 2,500 competitors take part in this exciting equestrian extravaganza.
